Location & activities: Water, land, or both? Water-based lodges: Ideal for mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, boat safaris, and stunning waterway wildlife sightings. Land-based lodges: Focused on game drives and walking safaris, offering classic savanna experiences. Combination lodges: The best of both worlds! These lodges provide game drives, water safaris, walking tours, and night drives (only available outside national parks). Lodges inside Moremi & Chobe National Parks follow strict rules—no off-road driving, no walking safaris, and set safari hours. However, private concessions allow night drives and walking safaris, offering a more flexible experience.

Plan Your Madagascar Adventure When planning your trip to Madagascar, timing is key! The best season to visit the interior is April to November, when the weather is dry and ideal for exploring. If you're heading to Nosy Be, you can visit year-round, though January and February bring the most rainfall.
