Nungwi Village Beach Resort

Nungwi Village Beach Resort is a middleclass beach hotel on the northern tip of Zanzibar. It offers stylish accommodation in several seafront bungalows with the traditional african style makuti thatched roofs purposely-built to blend with the natural surroundings and it is one of the ideal get-away for anyone who needs a relaxing holiday.

Nungwi Village is situated in one of the most beautiful stretches of beach that Zanzibar has to offer, with an unspoiled beach of magical soft white sand, palm trees and the crystalline waters of the Indian Ocean which go hand in hand with the calm and relaxed atmosphere that Nungwi Village offers it guests to offer the ideal hiding spot from the rest of the world and enjoy a truly magical trip.

Each of the seafront bungalows consists of four self contained Premium seafront rooms. All these rooms are contrived to give the maximum panoramic sea views and cool sea breezes. They are all ensuite with air conditioning and furnished with handcrafted four poster beds and a spacious balcony. Standard non-seafront rooms are air conditioned and built in two wings each with eight rooms. There’s a delightful restaurant situated on the beach, so you’re never far away from the smells, sounds and sights of the ocean.

Sandy walkways with fishing-basket lights link the reception to the restaurant and bar. The layout and all the makuti thatch gives the place a lovely village feel. There’s an open-air bar and on some nights acrobats perform after dinner. On quiet nights, if you do feel like socializing with a lively crowd, you can walk down to a variety of pubs and restaurants further along the beach.
