Iles des Palmes

Praslin, the second largest Seychelles island, lies 40 km northwest of Mahé and was named the Island of Palms by the first recorded visitor, Lazare Picault, in 1744. Measuring just 38 square kilometres in area, Praslin is many people's idea of paradise. The coastline is scattered with large rocks and surrounded by coral reefs teeming with life, while the interior is mainly untouched forest. On the west coast of Praslin is one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Anse Lazio.

Iles des Palmes Hotel is a new establishment created to meet the demands of visitors who want come to the Seychelles, explore it's beautiful and relax in a peaceful, serene setting, without the pressure and scheduling of a large hotel. It is not a traditional resort, where a guest would spend their time on holiday around a pool. It's too beautiful for that! The beaches are too spectacular and luring! The granite formations around the beaches lure you for privacy, peace and a time to commune with nature. The establishment is set out along a vast coconut and cinnamon plantation of an era gone by that is surrounded by a lively fresh water/salt water eco-system that is full of bird life & sea life.

At Iles des Palmes Hotel it's all about space and comfort. Once here, you will understand the special niche we have created. Each room is actually a detached beach bungalow standing by itself. No one to your left...no one to your right.....no one on top of you......no one below you..just your neighbour a few meters away to the side, and the beach in front you. You may even have a view of the Vallee de Mai .

The bungalows are set into two establishments:The Pirates Cove, 1 bedroom bungalows for couples only on a Honeymoon, a nature adventure or just with each other and the Colonial Quarters; 1,2,3 bedroom bungalows ideal for families who want to take their time.

Every evening, guest can spot flying foxes, flying over and countless birds nesting down for the evening. In the morning you can spot baby sharks and rays swim by from your balcony. As you walk to your bungalow, don't be surprised if a crab flags you off his territory. That's Iles des palmes.
