Nosy Iranja

Nosy Iranya has sun kissed beaches, an azure ocean boasting natural coral reefs teeming with exotic fish, breathtaking sunsets and a tropical climate combined with absolute tranquility. Natural beauty and unique flora and fauna, provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable getaway in this paradise. Better known as Madagascar’s premier resort island or the “Perfumed Isle” due to its abundance of heady Ylang Ylang blossom scent, Nosy Bé is home to the luxurious Nosy Iranja resort.

Nosy Iranja is made up of two islands conjoined by a bank of white sand, which is submerged at high tide. The lodge, set amidst 13 hectares of tropical gardens on the southern island, is surrounded by the crystal waters of the Indian Ocean and finged by white sand beaches. The lodge is built of wood and other natural materials, integrated into the luxuriant vegetation of the island. The restaurant at the edge of the island, facing the sand bank, offers gastronomic international and Malagasy dishes, made with fresh and local products.

Twenty eight spacious chalets provide accommodation. The interior décoration makes use of natural fabrics and local craftmanship to create an authentic and luxurious setting. All chalets have ceiling fans, direct satellite telephone, CD-player, TV and room safe. The bathroom is 25 sq. metres and provides garden and sea views and a large veranda overlooks the sea. The complex has a swimming pool for children, a club house, a library, a games room, snooker, Television with satellite channels, ping-pong, badminton, volley ball, fitness, boutique, Laundry service, bar and restaurant.

Complimentary activities include: table tennis, badminton, archery, wind-surfing, hobbie cat, priogue trips and snorkelling. There is a small fitness centre. Game-fishing, scuba-diving, water-skiing, parasailing, massage and boat and helicopter trips are also available. Beach activities take place at the South point of the island while dives and excursions depart from the reception. There are more then 16 dive sites around Iranja. Blue Dive has highly trained professional dive masters, who will satisfy your diving requirements whether you are a novice or an expert diver. The hawksbill turtle is an important aspect of Nosy Iranja’s eco-system. Emanuel is a scientist from Nosy Be working on the turtle monitoring project, very proud of it and eager to show visitors both the turtle project, the reptiles and amphibians on Nosy Iranja.
